Officially Licensed HS-16 Nighthawks Sticker — Sea King Hunters After Dark

The Nighthawks of HS-16 owned the night sky — hunting submarines and guarding the fleet in the darkness.

Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 16 (HS-16), the Nighthawks, was a U.S. Navy helicopter squadron that operated the H-3 Sea King. The Nighthawks' name reflected their proficiency in night operations — conducting ASW patrols, dipping sonar, and flying rescue missions after sundown when the darkness made every task exponentially more demanding. HS-16 deployed as part of carrier air wings, providing the battle group with rotary-wing anti-submarine warfare capability around the clock. Night helicopter operations over the open ocean remain some of the most challenging flying in all of aviation.

Perfect For: HS-16 Nighthawks veterans, H-3 Sea King night operations crews, carrier air wing helicopter members, and Navy helicopter heritage sticker collectors.

Nighthawks — the darkness was their element.
